When to see a doctor urgently

  • Bite from a dog, cat or wild animal, especially a stray, unfamiliar or oddly behaving one

  • A bite on the face, head, neck or hands
  • A human bite, especially on the hand
  • You are not vaccinated against tetanus, cannot recall your last shot or it was more than 10 years ago
