Skin Types: Discover Your Skin Type and How to Care for It

How to determine your skin type?

How to determine your skin type?

If you don’t know whether your skin is dry, oily, normal, or combination, look carefully in the mirror and analyze how it feels after washing.

  • Normal skin: has small pores, looks smooth, well-cared-for, and slightly radiant. It has a balanced level of moisture and oil, rarely causes discomfort, and is almost not prone to breakouts.
  • Dry skin: may look pale and flaky, often feeling tight after washing. It is prone to redness and irritation, especially in cold weather.
  • Oily skin: is characterized by a pronounced shine, especially on the forehead, nose, and chin. Pores are enlarged, and blackheads and inflammation are common. This skin type requires regular and thorough cleansing.
  • Combination skin: combines features of different types — usually oily in the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) and dry or normal on the cheeks and temples. Care should be combined, taking into account the characteristics of each facial area.

Important! Avoid creams that contain solvents (e.g., alcohol, propylene glycol in high concentrations), as they destroy the lipid membranes of skin cells. It is better to choose gentle, nourishing formulas based on natural oils and moisturizing ingredients that support skin health rather than damage it. When choosing a cream, carefully check the ingredients and avoid products with aggressive solvents, especially if you have dry or sensitive skin.
